Your Guide To Natural Skin Care Products

Some people pin their hopes for good-looking skin on natural skin care products, because they are worried about what synthetic commercial cosmetic products will do to their skin. There are more safeguards for the public now than ever before with government regulations and public watchdogs, however, there are still a number of products coming on to the market every year that are harmful to skin.

Therefore, you cannot depend on the hype, the label on the front or anyone else - it is all down to you to do your own investigation. You can do this exploration by checking each of the chemicals on the label on the rear of the pot by looking them up on the Internet.

In deed the situation has gotten so bad hat the National Institute of Occupational Safety And Health found almost nine hundred toxic chemicals in commercial cosmetic products and the Cancer Coalition announced that commercial cosmetic and personal care products present a higher threat of cancer than nicotine and cigarettes.

If you use these toxic substances on your skin, there is a good chance that they will be absorbed into your body, where they will be disseminated through all your major bodily organs. Nobody knows exactly what consequences this can have on your long term health.

Once the toxins are in your bloodstream, your body will have to work much harder than usual in an effort to get rid of them. Most of this clean up work falls to the liver, but it can only do so much before health issues set in. The liver is a key part of the body’s immune system and should be looked after, because liver problems can result in major health issues with the auto-immune system, which in turn can cause asthma, infections, and allergies.

Therefore, it would seem that if you want to avoid any potential problems, you would be better off using only natural skin care products. However, you cannot rest on your laurels just because the tub carries the word ‘natural’ or ‘organic’. Once more, it is your duty to research the ingredients of the natural skin care products that you buy or you could make your own.

Making your own natural skin care products is not as hard as it may at first seem. There are thousands of skin care recipes on the Internet and in the library, but here are a few ideas to get you started.

You can exfoliate with olive oil mixed with crushed oatmeal, brown sugar or baking soda. Exfoliating three or four times per week will keep your skin looking great. Other items that you can use in your home mixes are: olive oil, bananas, avocado, honey and egg whites.

Preparing your own natural skin care products is the only, I stress, the only, way to make certain that you are getting 100% natural skin care products, because even those that say on the label that they are 100% natural skin care products will almost certainly contain synthetic, chemical preservatives, dyes and fragrances.

“How to stop biting my nails?” - It’s a common question on internet health and wellness forums. It’s no wonder, because nail biting is a common problem. It’s so common, in fact, that there is a medical term for it: onychophagia.

If hearing that nail biting is a psychological disorder with a Greek name make you automatically start chewing on your nails, there’s a reason for that. It is a habit that often has its roots in anxiety and then becomes compulsive.

Freudian psychologists consider nail biting to be an oral fixation. In the same way that infants suck their thumb or a dummy to help them sleep, some adults unconsciously are looking for security from having something in their mouths.

Not every psychologists agrees that this is the reason for nail biting, but they are agreed on one thing: biting your nails is a problem that needs to be dealt with. That’s not to say that you have to check yourself into a clinic, though. There are many less radical ways to break the habit.

Nail biting is an unconscious habit. You are bearling aware that you’re doing it most of the time. There are products on the market that help you get control over your habit by bringing it forcefully to your attention. These are painted onto the nails and surrounding areas. They are so bitter tasting that you can’t help but be reminded that you are trying to bit your nails. Used regularly, they can help you break your habit.

If your habit is not too far out of control, try simply getting regular manicures. Many women who habitually bite their nails have found that a nice coat of nail polish in a bright color reminds them not to bite their nails and gives them an incentive to stop. Men can file their nails neatly and apply clear polish.

Learning relaxation techniques like meditation can also help break your nail biting habit, along with a lot of other compulsive habits. Many people have stopped biting their nails, quit smoking and gotten over many other destructive habits just as a result of learning to meditate. The feeling of inner peace just seems to make these habits go away.

The bottom line is this: don’t stop trying. These techniques and others can help you overcome your habit. If you’re still having a problem after trying these self-help techniques, ask for advice on how to stop biting my nails.

Tongkat Ali extract has received acclaim as a testosterone producer and bodybuilding herbal remedy as well as a possible anti-cancer supplement. These benefits were confirmed in tests performed by the London Sports Journal in 2003 and in two tests completed by ZRT Laboratories in early 2005. As a recognized treatment for erectile dysfunction, the demand for the extract is now worldwide.

These were the first tests performed on humans although much previous testing had been performed using animals. When the results were released and demand outpaced supply, the Malaysian government took aggressive action to improve the manufacturing and distribution methods of the Tongkat Ali extract.

Understanding the Strength of the Tongkat Ali Extract

There has been some confusion about the strength of various Tongkat Ali products. The strength of the extract is listed on the contents on the product label. The most powerful form of the Tongkat Ali extract is 1:200. With this composition 200 grams of the root are used t create one gram of the extract.

The 1:200 extract is the most poignant herbal composition. To determine the most effective dosage, users should begin with one application per day and then adjust as they see fit. How many applications are used per day is dependent upon the user’s weight, age and body size.

The most popular use schedule is called cycling. The most common cycle is five days on and two days off. Then, the user starts anew. Users will soon realize increased libido and much higher energy levels.

Tongkat Ali and the Eurycoma Longifolia Tree

The Eurycoma Longifolia tree, native to Southeast Asia, produces a two-meter root from which the Tongkat Ali extract is derived. The distinctive tree is slow to mature. The ideal tree is 20 - 3- years old and 12 meters high. The root extends vertically onto the ground. Malaysia, Indonesia and Burma are the main harvesters of Tongkat Ali.

The Eurycoma Longifolia tree is a slender shrub-like tree accentuated with colorful, flowered buds set into evergreen-type foliage. The tree prefers a sandy, moist soil and benefits from a shady cover.

The roots are carefully harvested from the forests and taken to modern manufacturing facilities. The harvesting process is extremely labor-intensive. The bark of the tree is often used to create other alternative medicines used primarily in the region.

The Manufacturing Process

The Malaysian government projects an even more expansive international market for the extract. The age-old manufacturing process has been completely modernized. The roots are now cleansed, dried and ground using state-of-the-art technology in clean, efficient facilities.

Tongkat Ali is efficiently package for worldwide distribution. The extract is delivered in tablet, capsule of liquid form. Labels on the container will designate the strength. The Malaysian government oversee an ongoing $7 million annual research and development project to continue advances with the natural remedy.

My weight problems started a few years back and despite the efforts to undergo every possible program - it all seem to go in vain. I came across an article one day suggesting that a weight loss journal can be of help to my cause, so I gave it a try. Blogging is a fad these days anyway.

Because I couldn’t think of anything else to that will convince me to shed off my unwanted pounds, I realized that there’s nothing wrong if I give it a try. Besides the possibility that I’ll miss my favorite TV shows because I’ll be busy blogging, what do I have to lose?

Here’s what’s exciting about it: keeping a blog about your efforts to lose weight through diet and workout will benefit your cause. How? That’s simple. The mere fact that you are tracking down the progress of your current weight loss program through a blog is already doing you good. In fact, I myself write about my food intake in each of the blogs I have with all truthfulness.

Strangely enough, my weight loss blog made me feel in-charge of my actions. Because I know that all eyes are on me, I have to be cautious so I will not disappoint the people around me. Little by little, I was able to drop a few pounds and my blog serves as my documentation.

Suddenly, my weight-related practices are beginning to improve. Despite the two-month wait, I felt satisfied as my waistline was reduced.

I give the credit to my blog for such achievement. Furthermore, I feel happy that there are people who actually read my thoughts - they are even there to back me up on my goal to lose weight.

But it doesn’t end there. Tell you what, a month after I started, I got paid for writing blog entries about my weight loss. Simply put, earning money while blogging is not a bad idea at all.

I’m $20 richer every month just by writing about my thoughts on weight loss and other relevant topics. Not to mention the fact that I’m also helping myself get back in shape quickly.
