If you would like to lose a few pounds, you certainly don’t have to go very far to find a solution. Just type in “weight loss” in Google and you’ll get about eight trillion results.
It seems that as more and more of us struggle with our weight, there are more and more people coming up with crazy ideas to help us lose it. Many of these are great, and are based soundly on science. One of the troubles is that they can be difficult to comprehend, let alone follow.
Here I’d like to give you two quick rules that can make it easier to eat the right foods, and lose weight. Eating the right foods is the cornerstone of any successful weight loss plan.
One potential killer of your future slim and sexy body is bad carbohydrates. Some diets recommend that you get rid of carbs completely, but although that has been proven effective, it is much easier said than done.
Believe it or not, some carbs are better than others. How can you tell the difference? Avoid anything processed. A quick and easy rule is to choose brown, if you have a choice. Brown usually means less processed.
When choosing pasta, bread or rice, brown is usually better. The whiter a carbohydrate is, generally speaking, the more your body will treat it just like sugar. Of course, brown chocolate is just as bad as white chocolate!
Good fats and bad fats can be another mystery. The easy way to choose is pick natural over processed, or solid over liquid. Solid fats in fish, avocado, and nuts are good. Liquid fats in oils, and all deep fried foods, are bad. Pretty simple.
If you stick to these simple two rules, you’ll notice a slow but positive change in your body shape, and your energy levels, and your self confidence.

It’s no secret that most people are overweight today. And while most people claim to have some kind of desire, at least on some level, very few actually follow through with a consistent effort to do something about it. Because you are reading this, you have shown yourself some level of commitment to achieving the results that you want.
Any weight loss plan, or lifestyle change must consist of two parts. Diet, or eating habits, and exercise. Here I’ll be focusing on exercise. There are some really simple, really easy to do exercises that can put you on the fast track to weight loss and improved health.
When most people think of doing any kind of exercise, they imagine spending hours every day at a gym, or giving up precious family time to run five miles every night. The good news is that this is absolutely not necessary to get in fantastic shape. Of course, there are plenty of good reasons to go to the gym every night, as there are to go for a run every morning or evening. Just realize that these are not requirements on your quest to lose weight.
Another thing most people realize is the goal of exercise when it comes to burning fat and losing weight. The real reason you exercise is to improve your overall muscle tone, as well as increase your metabolism. With a high enough metabolism, you will burn fat while doing normal, everyday activities. This is the real secret to rapid weight loss. Exercises that boost your resting metabolism.
So what are these exercises? Low weight, high repetition exercises that work your large muscle groups. Any body weight exercises or yoga is perfect for this. And the good news is that you really only need to do a few minutes of these a day, as they are incredibly effective.
Most people that start a program like this notice results relatively quickly. They are surprised how quickly they can see results in the mirror, as well as skyrocketing energy and self-esteem. The sooner you get started, the sooner you’ll see results.
