If you are like millions of men who suffer from hair loss, you would like to learn how to prevent this problem. Many people spend all kinds of money and time to try to fight hair loss and don’t have good results! Here are some tips on how to prevent hair loss without spending a fortune.

These tips are natural, and not expensive. In fact, some address the basic issue of hair care overall. They are also very easy to use.

Did you know that some hair care products should be thought of as hair harm products? Yes, that is right, some products that you use to take care of your hair may in fact be triggering hair loss. It takes time for this negative effect to happen, but once it starts you can really notice a difference. There are ingredients in some shampoos that really can do damage to your hair.

One of the major culprits is a chemical called sodium laureth sulfate. This chemical is basically a degreaser. It removes oil from your scalp and hair. But in doing so, it can leave your hair dry and brittle over time.

To prevent hair loss, always check the ingredients in shampoos before you purchase them. As much as possible, try to stick to all-natural formulations.

Another thing to try is managing your sleep hours. Are you getting enough sleep? Many people don’t, and it can effect hair growth! Hair growth, like any other body function, operates best when the body has had enough rest. Plus, hair does most of its growing while the body is resting.

There are also various home remedies you can try for hair loss. Some work with your body, to help it maximize defenses against hair loss. One of these is a tea you make from boiling water with a few teaspoonfuls of mustard seeds. Drink this every night for best effect.

Nightly scalp massage is also very helpful if you are trying to prevent hair loss. By massaging your scalp each night, you encourage better circulation and blood flow. This is important because your hair follicles get nutrients from your blood and use the nutrients to regrow your hair. Encouraging better circulation gives the follicles more nutrients to work with.

Define A Higher Power That Is Non Judging

When I first began attending 12 step meetings a little over 20+ years ago, I heard that I could redefine my Higher Power. I was told that I was able to make him anything that I desired.

This was a great thing to learn as at that time in my life, the God of my childhood was not nice at all.

I won’t say that I was instructed about a judging God. But, I will different from what I was taught.

A large part of this ‘education’ included matters related to self esteem and self confidence.

So, when I found out that my Higher Power could be redefined, it was a huge relief. I was allowed to define my God as very Compassionate and that cared for me no matter what. I heard someone say that his God “knew what I was doing and loved me while I did it”.

I guess that a lot of us have learned “to act as if God is watching, because he is”. And, if this was the case, I was in deep trouble as the result of some of the acts I had performed while growing up.

After changing my beliefs I did not have to be concerned about being thrown into the “depths of Hell” for what I had done in my youth, I could start living a good life.

So, if you have a God that is not Compassionate, the best thing for you to do is to sit down and create a “designer God”.

I do not intend to be flippant about this but you need to have a God that is loving if you are going to live a comfortable life.

We don’t intend to be “looking over our shoulder” to make certain that our “punishing God” is not breathing down our neck.

Life is too short to be lived running from a God of our parents. It is time to define a God for you that is caring and loving.

I have heard it stated that our only trouble in life is our “sensed separation from God”. That separation is very easy to imagine if the God of your definition is punishing and mean.

You Can Never Be Sad!

There are so many things which can make us feel bad, like the poor weather, the lost earring, the sad news, the favourite shirt becomes dirty, unsavory people, etc. However, don’t lets these factors upset you, you should find ways to have a good mood.

1. Try to look at the brighter side of things. I know it might be hard to do so in difficult situations, but every situation exists something positive. Feel sad for losing your cell phone? May be it is an excuse for you to buy a new one. Got a parking ticket? At least it is just $25 but not a big amount.

2. Create a list of things that you appreciate, such as your family, lovely pet, health, home, job, friends, joyous memories, holidays you are going to have, etc.

3. Laugh heartily. There is no need to go to laughing classes in order to do this. Try to laugh loudly when something bad happens. This may sound foolish to you. However, this can really help you laugh out because of its ridiculousness.

4. Be optimistic. Expectations often affect the actual outcomes. If you think something will go well, it will probably be. I always expect I would be able to find a space for parking when I shop for grocery at busy hours, and I almost always do.

5. Try to save all the funny sayings, clips or quotations if it is possible. When you are sad, pick some of those and read through them, you will surely get back your smile.

6. Inverse your body. This can cheer you up. Try the inverted yoga pose “legs up the wall” which can be done easily. All you have to do is to lie on your back with your hip up against the wall and make your legs bend against the wall, then hold this pose and relax.

7. Take a good rest is helpful. People always rush and rush, they try to finish the work as much as possible in a day, and then they crash into bed in order to have a sleep with more than 6 hours. However, this is absolutely a bad habit, and you can never be healthy. You should stop doing everything, but spend some time to enjoy the moment, or relax with your friends, family and pets as well.

It cannot be denied that life is difficult and we have to overcome many hurdles everyday. However, you can live a happier life by having an optimistic mind and avoiding bad things in your life.

The Power Of Laughter

The world has been too sad recently with all the clamor, stress and distrust. Can we just take things easier and laugh more?

Laughter is a powerful medicine and it is also contagious! Laughing improves our moods and it is certainly good for both psychological and physical health.

Laughter can be fast-spreading, even faster than any contagious illnesses, like cold or flu. It can let us to have a relaxation, meanwhile, our heaviness of sadness or depression will be laid off.

Laughter also induce positive physical changes in our bodies. When we laugh, the level of endorphin (a natural pain reliever) in our bodies would rise. Blood vessels would also expand to increase blood flow. Stress will then disappear.

It is really enjoyable to laugh together. When you share your jokes and some silly incidents with your friends, all of you burst into laughters. The world will be more peaceful when we all laugh together and enjoy every moment of laughters.

Occasionally, a laugh can make others laugh because it is really hilarious. Not because of the joke itself, but the way how people laugh. Some folks laugh in a amusing way that brings out a harmonious atmosphere with more laughters. We feel relieved when we have a good laugh.

A laugh worth a price. There are so many people earning a living by making audience laugh, or participating in comedies. We are in need of any kind of humors, as humors bring us out of sadness and depression.

We sometimes forget how to laugh and it is quite sad. I wish those layoffs, foreclosures, wars and political policies could cease for a while. It is time for us to laugh again and enjoy different kinds of comedy variety shows!

Anxiety and Diet

Are you pouring your fifth cup of coffee already? If so, it’s not too surprising that you anxieties are getting the best of you and the things which cause most people only a little stress like moving, starting a new job, having a child and so on are causing you total paralysis. A poor diet and excessive consumption of caffeine and alcohol can trigger anxiety attacks and exacerbate existing anxiety issues. You can reduce your anxiety by making some simple lifestyle changes.

There are many different things which can cause anxiety and trigger attacks, but your diet and other lifestyle factors make a big difference. By limiting your intake of alcohol and caffeine, you can keep your anxiety levels lower and reduce anxiety attacks. Since caffeine is a stimulant, consuming excessive amounts of caffeine can worsen anxiety problems.

Excessive caffeine and alcohol intake upsets your natural chemical balance, making your nervous system work overtime. Caffeine’s stimulant effects cause elation at first and then an anxious state when it starts to wear off. Try reducing your coffee consumption or even breaking the habit - you’ll be surprised how much calmer and more naturally energetic you’ll be.

Alcohol is of course a depressant. Again, there is elation at first, followed by a fatigued, often anxious state. You should reduce or eliminate your alcohol intake if you want to reduce the frequency and severity of your anxiety attacks. It’s fine to have a drink or two on occasion, but if alcohol tends to cause you to become more anxious, then it should be avoided altogether. Make sure to drink enough water every day; dehydration causes your moods to destabilize and can also set off anxiety or panic attacks.

Your blood sugar level affects your mood and your anxiety level. By eating smaller meals, you can keep this and your anxiety level stable. Don’t skip breakfast - it sets the tone for your metabolic rate all day. Eat a healthy diet with whole grains and fresh fruits and vegetables; these increase the levels of serotonin in your brain naturally. Serotonin makes you feel calmer and more at ease.

You should also incorporate tryptophan-rich foods into your diet. This amino acid is necessary for the production of melatonin and serotonin, which regulate moods and help you get restful sleep. Foods which are good sources of tryptophan include nuts, bananas, oats, dairy products, soy-based foods and poultry.

Fiber rich food also adds to a sense of well-being because this regulates the sugar levels in the body. Women who are menopausing should take more calcium rich foods to reduce irritability, fatigue, and depression. Do you have adverse reactions to some food? Avoid food that makes you irritable and moody. Nuts, wheat, corn, eggs, dairy, and shellfish should be avoided if you experience mood swings after eating any of these.

Keep your salt intake low. Your body naturally makes potassium and sodium from other dietary sources and a diet which is high in salt increases your sodium levels, which leads to water retention and increases blood pressure. Excessive sodium intake also causes irritability and mood swings in many, so steer clear of high-sodium foods, especially junk food. Refined sugars and artificial sweeteners should also be avoided; these ingredients can exacerbate anxiety and make panic attacks worse.

Diet is an important factor when treating anxiety attacks but it is best to seek medical advice especially if you are experiencing severe panic attacks.
